18K GOLD VERMEIL JEWELRY How to pronounce it? Simply say ver-may. Gold vermeil has a thick gold layer over sterling silver. Don’t confuse it with regular gold plating, gold vermeil involves a much thicker layer of gold to give it that much more durability.
We always use 18k gold that is 2.5 microns thick layered over sterling silver. All of our 18k gold vermeil pieces are stamped with “925”.
